The Bella Vista Foundation in its first five years has already provided many valuable contributions to the community.  It has partnered with the City, POA and other community organizations on the following projects to support and enhance the Bella Vista community:

Inaugural Cooper Communities Northwest Arkansas Classic – May  2017

The inaugural Cooper Communities Northwest Arkansas Classic professional golf tournament brought together community support and sponsors from Cooper Communities, Bella Vista Foundation, City of Bella Vista, and Brown’s Collision, and others. Thanks to the Pro-Am tournament proceeds, the Bella Vista Foundation will provide grant support to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, The First Tee of NWA and the Boys and Girls Club of NWA

Co-sponsored the Heroes and Hamburgers celebration in Sept., 2016 to honor the Bella Vista City Police and Fire Depts., and raised funds to support some key equipment purchases for their emergency vehicles.  The event was held at the Simple Pleasures facility in the Highlands, and is expected to become an annual event.

Co-sponsored the Hot Dam Blues Concert (July, 2016), which unfortunately was canceled due to weather conditions.  This event will hopefully occur next year (2017) associated with the Loch Lomond fireworks display.

Developed (2014-15) a Master Trails and Greenways Plan for Bella Vista, and provided said plan to the City and POA for 155 miles of trails to be constructed over the next decade.  Please see links on this page for further info regarding the Bella Vista trails system.

Continue to augment the trails system by promoting the trails and soliciting contributions for trails furniture (benches, etc.) along with appropriate recognition of the donors.

Co-sponsored the annual Fall Hay Days Festival 2013 thru 2015, a 2-day event providing entertainment and activities for children and their families, and funding for children’s and other local charities.

The Foundation provided assistance to 501(c)3 entity Live on Stage in NWA when LOS terminated activities recently.  The Foundation accepted LOS' assets and granted scholarships committed for 2016.

Accepted contributions from 2012 thru 2016 to support the Bella Vista Ambassadors in their efforts to market and promote to potential future property owners in Bella Vista.

Co-sponsored an American Jr. Golf Association (AJGA) golf tournament on the Highlands golf course in 2012 which was enjoyed by locals and drew outside attention to our Bella Vista amenities.
